Cellars TasteMaker Speaker
Series showcases author, television personality and Chef Bob Blumer’s
“surreal” career with an interactive dinner on Friday, June 21st at
the Jessup Cellars Tasting Room & Gallery in Yountville, California from
6:00pm to 8:30pm. The
interactive dinner will kick-off Blumer’s first-ever “Surreal Decanted” exhibition
of playful and ironic art. Seating is very limited.
Blumer’s creative vision has been
inspired by many events, including creating mind-bending meals at the Salvador
Dali Museum and touring the country in an Airstream trailer he converted into a
rolling professional kitchen that resembled a giant toaster to promote his
cookbook, Off the Eaten Path. Blumer’s
most recent television shows include Glutton
for Punishment and World’s Weirdest
Restaurants as seen on the Food Network. Bob holds seven Guinness Book of
World Records in the culinary category.
Getting Surreal: Wining & Dining with Chef, Author & Artist
Bob Blumer will be
the only formal dinner during the 2013 TasteMaker
Speaker Series. Set amongst his surreal
wine glasses and hand-blown glass decanters, Blumer will share behind-the-scenes
stories from his career during tableside cooking demonstrations. The dinner
will be followed by a meet-and-greet and the opportunity to purchase
autographed copies of Blumer’s cookbooks and Jessup Cellars wines.

The interactive thought
leadership forums will be staged in the winery’s Tasting & Art Gallery in
Napa Valley’s village of Yountville, just a block north of the famed French
Laundry. Each event will be integrated with month-long art exhibitions and
wine tasting activities, bringing together Jessup Cellars wines, food, art and
people into fully realized sensory forums. To reach an even greater audience
beyond its gallery walls, Jessup Cellars will present live, interactive
webcasts of the events via TasteLive.com.
