Well everyone, this is my last and final blog. It’s been quite the journey as a Jessup Ambassador and a journey that I didn’t want to end! To finish it off, I had one final tasting with some of my family and my parent’s close friends. This tasting was a bit different since we had all of the guests bring a dish of their own choice. Once we finalized the menu, Jessup matched up their best selections with the dishes and made a fantastic pairing! Jessup provided their 2010 Chardonnay, 2009 Pinot Noir, 2009 Table for Four, and 2007 Zinfandel Port. Talk about an awesome selection!

That’s right folks! It was about time I finally got around to reporting on my first Jessup tasting! Sorry that I’ve been out of touch recently, our wedding planning is in full swing and as some of you may relate it seems to take the most out of ya. But through all the madness I always find time for some delcious wine! So a couple weeks ago, I invited over 4 of my closest friends for an awesome steak dinner and their very first tasting of Jessup Cellars. Jessup worked with me to pair the wine perfectly and supplied their 2010 Sauvignon Blanc, 2008 Manny’s Blend, 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon, and finished it off with their 2007 Zinfandel Port. An amazing combination!

And so it comes to an end… well, sorta. I had my third + final Jessup tasting last weekend and supposedly should be wrapping things up in the coming weeks… but to tell you the truth, I’m pretty sad to call it quits. I like this forum where I can talk to myself in written form with the hope + aspiration that one or two sets of eyeballs may catch glimpse of my vino adventures {Pei, hi-five to you b/c you have been one loyal follower + a Jessup ambassador in your own right – gracias!}. Well it’s been awhile since my last blog; hopefully everyone had an enjoyable Christmas and New Years! I know I did! To start of the year right, two weekends ago I took a short trip to Napa with some friends from San Diego. We had a blast! One of my friends is actually a restaurant manager at a very nice place in San Diego. Her restaurant’s sommelier suggested we visit some of the wineries they carry on their wine list, and of course, in order to compare, we had to stop by Jessup at the end.
