Walks of life

Since my last blog, I’ve been getting a lot of questions regarding more info on my recent engagement so I figured I would share a few more pictures and even some video with all of you!  Also, as recent as yesterday my parents officially got the keys to their new place!  So we had a little get together which I want to share with you as well!

After all of my researching and consulting with experts I decided on a ring from Whiteflash.  The service from them was amazing and I felt like they had my best interest the entire way.  They even took some professional photographs of the ring before sending it to me!

Jumping all the way to the actual proposal, the day itself was pretty laid back.  The only task for the day was to get Janice to the beach before 4:30pm; that was when I was supposed to actually pop the question.  We arrived in time and proceeded to wander around the beach.  Got a couple margaritas at a local bar and restaurant and then walked some more.

At about 4:30 we stopped for some pictures and unbeknownst to Janice people were gathering on the stairs behind us.  So after our cleverly placed pictures, I popped the question and luckily she said YES!

The rest, as you know, is history.  We enjoyed our amazing custom blend from Jessup and great food in San Diego!

In other exciting news, my parents finally got the keys to their new place!  As of 12:01am yesterday they are the proud owners of a two bedroom condo in the prestigious Santana Row here in San Jose.  We came over in the afternoon for a little champagne and hors d’oeuvres.

To my surprise, one of my parent’s great friends brought over a 1996 Haywood Estate Rocky Terrace Zinfandel!  Only one word, delicious!  (Unfortunately I couldn’t find a link to the 1996 vintage but in substitute here is info on their 2005)

After some champagne, wine, and cheese we cracked open a bottle of Jessup’s very own 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Port.  My favorite!  So a big congratulations to my folks, I know that this has been a long time coming and I’m so happy that it’s finally coming to fruition!

Just a short update for me this time, and thus I will leave you with my latest thumbs up awards:

2009 Query Riesling

Jessup Cellars 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Port

Katana Sushi & Sake
