I have spent the second half of my life (so far) thoroughly enjoying wine, the philosophy that it exemplifies and trying many new things in the wine world in order to expand that knowledge base. I have traveled to and through the wine regions of California, Oregon and Washington.  I have also traveled to many places including France and Italy, all the while soaking up their culinary riches and offerings along the way.  All of these experiences with the world of wine have led me to collecting wine so I can share with my friends and family the things I learn and personally enjoy.

My wife and I are part of the Founding Members of the Grapes of Laugh wine club. Every month is a different theme with a goal of learning about varied wine regions and areas and varietals too!  I have a 120 bottle freestanding cellar in the house and share a “large” locker at an offsite full service wine storage facility.

Alan: Great first post. I know nothing about wine, but hope to learn from you. Can I now tell people I have a cousin who is an Ambassador? ;-) Bobbie

Looking forward to reading many more Alan! Congratulations again!

And, when you and the family are ready to expand your wine region horizons … come on over to Virginia and I’ll take you to my favorite one here (stopping off at a few others along the way!)

Then, when you’re really ready … I’ll share some of my NJ wine – the stuff my folks made/make for me!

    Cheers!
